Let's Not Meet By Accident!
BEHIND THE WHEEL INSTRUCTION
A teenager needs six one hour lessons of behind-the-wheel driving to help qualify for an insurance discount. If you just want to learn how to drive, you may take as many lessons as you want. There are no limitations to the number of lessons you may take.
We have a six hour course package, which consists of 6 one hour lessons that cover beginning driving to the expressway. We usually start in a parking lot. As soon as the instructor feels that the student has a good basic knowledge of controlling the car, (Starting, stopping, left and right turns, tracking) the lesson moves on to a back country road. This develops basic handling skills and also skills needed for control on curves and turns.
The next step includes an intermediate route such as 322 or 501. Traffic skills are developed as well as visual skills and placement of the car around traffic, merging.
The lessons move on to city driving, parallel parking and expressway driving and developing the skills and experience needed to become a better driver.
Although most students take the six hour course, not all are ready to progress at that speed. Some students pick it up faster than others. We reserve the right to keep a student at his/her skill level until he/she is ready to move on. We may recommend a few more practice hours in between lessons before proceeding to the next lesson. If there is practice time, the progress will be smoother.

$54.00 per hour if 6 or more lessons are taken
$59.00 per hour if less than 6 hours are taken
There will also be an additional $5.00 Pick up fee for Ephrata, Mount Joy
$10.00 pick up fee for Lancaster, $20.00 pick up fee for Denver, Willow Street, LampeterOr you have the option to come here at no extra charge.
Due to heavier traffic at times, we may run a few minutes late although we try our best to keep on time. Please allow about 15 minutes extra for us to get to your home. If we are not there within 15 minutes, we will call and give an approximate time of arrival.
If you need to cancel a lesson, please do so by 7 AM. After that we are out and may not get to check messages. If we arrive at your house and no one is there, we will charge a $30 no show fee due by the next lesson. There is a 24 hour answering machine for your convenience.
